Organizational Change & Transformation Manager

Pearl Consulting Group
Full-Time | Remote | United States

About the Role

Pearl Consulting Group (PCG) is seeking an experienced Organizational Change & Transformation Manager to lead change management and transformation initiatives across complex enterprise client environments.

This role is designed for a seasoned change practitioner who understands that successful transformation goes beyond communications and training. The ideal candidate can assess organizational readiness, navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, develop practical change strategies, manage resistance, drive adoption, and help organizations successfully transition through changes involving people, processes, operating models, and technology.

The Organizational Change & Transformation Manager will work closely with client executives, program and project managers, technical teams, business leaders, and end users to ensure transformation initiatives are understood, adopted, and sustained.

Strong hands-on Organizational Change Management (OCM) experience is required. Experience supporting technology or cybersecurity transformations is highly preferred but not required.

What You'll Do

Organizational Change Management

  • Lead end-to-end OCM activities for complex enterprise business and technology transformation initiatives.

  • Develop comprehensive change management strategies and plans aligned with project objectives, business outcomes, and organizational priorities.

  • Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, organizational readiness assessments, and adoption assessments.

  • Identify change risks, resistance points, organizational impacts, and dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Develop stakeholder engagement strategies across executive leadership, management, impacted teams, and end users.

  • Build and manage change champion or change agent networks where appropriate.

  • Create communication strategies and plans that clearly articulate what is changing, why it matters, and what impacted audiences need to do differently.

  • Partner with training and enablement teams to develop role-based learning, training, and knowledge-transfer strategies.

  • Establish adoption metrics, KPIs, feedback mechanisms, and reinforcement strategies to measure whether change is successfully taking hold.

  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder sessions, leadership discussions, and change-readiness activities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Resistance Management

  • Identify and proactively address stakeholder resistance throughout the transformation lifecycle.

  • Assess the underlying causes of resistance and develop targeted strategies to build trust, alignment, and commitment.

  • Demonstrate the ability to turn resistant or skeptical stakeholders into informed supporters, change champions, and project advocates.

  • Navigate challenging stakeholder relationships with diplomacy, credibility, empathy, and appropriate executive presence.

  • Coach leaders and managers on their role in sponsoring, communicating, and reinforcing organizational change.

  • Build advocacy across impacted groups by connecting transformation objectives to business outcomes and individual stakeholder priorities.

  • Recognize organizational dynamics, competing priorities, and stakeholder concerns and adapt the change approach accordingly.

  • Escalate significant adoption or resistance risks appropriately while maintaining productive stakeholder relationships.

Transformation Management

  • Partner with program and project leadership to integrate change management into the overall transformation roadmap and delivery plan.

  • Translate transformation objectives into clear organizational, operational, and behavioral changes.

  • Help clients navigate changes to business processes, organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, operating models, and technology platforms.

  • Assess current-state versus future-state ways of working and develop practical transition plans.

  • Support business transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation, adoption, stabilization, and reinforcement.

  • Identify organizational barriers that may impact transformation success and work with client leadership to resolve them.

  • Provide executives and program leadership with clear visibility into organizational readiness, adoption, risks, resistance, and areas requiring intervention.

  • Support post-implementation reinforcement and continuous improvement to help ensure changes are sustained.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted change and transformation advisor to client leadership.

  • Build strong relationships across business, technology, project, and executive stakeholder groups.

  • Translate complex initiatives into clear, audience-appropriate messaging and actionable plans.

  • Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.

  • Provide executive-ready updates, recommendations, presentations, and change-readiness reporting.

  • Lead difficult conversations around resistance, adoption challenges, organizational impacts, and transformation risks.

  • Adapt communication and engagement styles based on stakeholder needs, organizational culture, and executive dynamics.

PCG Change Management Practice

As part of Pearl Consulting Group, this individual will also help strengthen and mature our broader OCM and transformation capabilities.

  • Develop and refine reusable OCM methodologies, playbooks, templates, tools, assessments, and delivery standards.

  • Help establish consistent approaches for delivering change management across PCG client engagements.

  • Create reusable frameworks for stakeholder management, communications, readiness, training, resistance management, adoption, and change measurement.

  • Capture lessons learned and best practices from engagements and incorporate them into PCG's methodology.

  • Support development of client proposals, statements of work, presentations, and OCM/transformation solutions.

  • Mentor consultants and project team members on change management principles and practices.

  • Contribute to the continued growth of PCG's Organizational Change Management and Transformation practice.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Organizational Change Management, business transformation, organizational transformation, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated experience leading OCM workstreams for large-scale, complex enterprise transformation programs.

  • Strong working knowledge of established change management methodologies such as Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or similar frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience developing and executing change strategies, impact assessments, stakeholder engagement plans, readiness assessments, communications, training strategies, resistance management plans, adoption strategies, and change metrics.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying, managing, and overcoming stakeholder resistance, including the ability to influence skeptical or resistant stakeholders and build meaningful advocacy for transformation initiatives.

  • High level of emotional intelligence (EQ), professional maturity, and self-awareness, with the ability to read complex situations, understand stakeholder motivations, and adjust communication and engagement approaches appropriately.

  • Strong interpersonal judgment and the ability to navigate enterprise politics, competing priorities, sensitive conversations, organizational ambiguity, and executive-level relationships with professionalism and discretion.

  • Ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors and technical teams through senior executives.

  • Strong influencing and relationship-management skills, including the ability to gain alignment without relying on formal authority.

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, written communication, and executive communication skills.

  • Ability to remain composed, adaptable, and solutions-oriented when navigating resistance, conflict, ambiguity, or rapidly changing priorities.

  • Ability to operate effectively in consulting environments with multiple stakeholders, priorities, and workstreams.

  • Ability to move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

  • Strong understanding of how People, Process, Technology, and Communications intersect during organizational transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prosci Change Management Certification or comparable OCM certification.

  • Consulting or professional services experience.

  • Experience supporting enterprise technology transformation, digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud, ERP, IAM/IGA, infrastructure, data, or other technology-enabled programs.

  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business, people, process, and organizational impacts.

  • Experience partnering closely with technical project managers, engineers, architects, cybersecurity teams, or IT leadership.

  • Project or program management experience and familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.

  • Experience working with enterprise project, work management, and collaboration platforms such as Wrike, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means more than producing change plans and communications. You'll help ensure transformation initiatives result in measurable adoption and sustainable organizational change.

You'll be successful when you can enter a complex client environment, quickly understand the transformation underway, assess both the organizational and stakeholder landscape, identify where resistance may occur, and establish a structured approach for moving the organization forward.

You should be equally comfortable developing a change strategy, facilitating an executive workshop, working alongside a technical project team, coaching a leader through resistance, or having a difficult conversation with a stakeholder who does not support the initiative.

Most importantly, you will understand that resistance is not simply an obstacle to manage. You'll know how to uncover its root cause, build trust, influence behavior, and—when possible—turn resistance into advocacy.
